CHRISTCHURCH - A Taste of the World All in One Town!

The table is set for the ancient town of Christchurch in Dorset to hold its third Food and Wine Festival. Bringing together the best of the town's excellent restaurants and hotels in 10 days of fun and culinary magic, the atmosphere will be buzzing with a wide variety of food-related events from around the world.

Events will be kicked off on Friday 10th May with the town's annual pancake race, an opportunity not to be missed! Events proceed with the French traders from St Lô and other regional producers loading fresh breads, organic meats, olives, cheeses, oysters, kitchen equipment and many other popular products into their vans for the market on the first Saturday and Sunday. The town centre, like previous years, will be throbbing with people enjoying a cosmopolitan atmosphere with lively music and entertainment for all ages.

The fun doesn't end there. Each day there is an array of food-related events to get your mouth watering and tummies rumbling, featuring food from the Caribbean, China, Africa, India, Italy and Ireland and a chance to watch the professionals undertaking live demonstrations, with activities available for all the family.

For the weight-conscious, there's a chance to join the Waterford Lodge Hotel in their 'Yoghurt and Yoga' breakfast ,and there will be demos with the freshest fish from guest celebrities.

The climax will be held over the final week-end with a gourmet festival and family barbecue at Highcliffe Castle and a top chefs' charity banquet cooked by leading chef Anton Edelmann from the Savoy, London held at the prestigious 5 star Chewton Glen Hotel.
